  Great library of materials. Makes it fast and fun to add materials into my scene. Installation was confusing at first, but documentation explained everything. Make sure you have plenty of hard drive space.

  Definitely one of the more useful add-ons for Blender. I see that many people leave negative comments because they can't download the entire material library. Come on, folks, relax; you don't actually need to download all the materials and take up space on your hard drive. The essence of this add-on is not about that at all. All you need to do is download the basic 1/2K version to preview materials. Later, you can manually download materials individually depending on your needs. I've been using this add-on for almost a year, and I haven't downloaded even 30% of the materials. I usually use 4K materials, as I work in architecture, so only specific materials are useful to me. The main strength of this add-on is that you can create your own material libraries from various PBR maps you have on your computer. At least, that's useful to me, along with a bunch of other options to easily customize materials to your needs. The author has a lot of video materials on YouTube channel, which further helps in mastering the use of this add-on. Besides, it's impossible for the add-on to be bad when it has a fantastic retro commercial from the 80s :) Cheers.

  Excellent addon, and the problems described by other users appear to have been fixed by now. Not just a pretty comprehensive material library but also a material tool of sorts, enabling you to mix, blend and fine tune your materials. Download size was quite small for the 0.5k pack, but decent quality even at that resolution. I've bought quite a few material library addons and this could be my favourite.

  refuses to add libraries ,Unusable and uninstalled after losing $, it seams its demanding the massive unzipped expaks with each update so if you deleted them its hours of downloading again

  I'm very sorry to hear that you gave a negative rating for the addon, but I want to point out that there is some inaccurate information in your statements.

  I tried to provide assistance and responded as quickly as possible, just 4 minutes after receiving your message in BlenderMarket chat trying to understand what the problem was, but I got a quite offensive response without giving me any way to even help you wanting.

  The installation procedure is clearly documented, and it is not necessary to re-download the packages with each update. Furthermore, I also sent a notification to all users a few days ago after the last update, underlining that it is not required to download the packages again!

  The addon actually has a "huge" library, but the updater doesn't need to re-download the packages at every update!

  It would be useful if you really need help, if you contact me in a "Human" way via message so that I can understand and possibly explain how to solve the potential problem you have encountered or if you even just need clarification.

  I've used this addon for years and yes there were problems with it at times but with the new update its great again, back in my top 5 for sure

  Let me start with the key takeaways. This is a great add-on! You get a LOT for the investment, and it is a great way to build up your asset library if you don´t have many materials and textures "lying around". This was actually my first add-on for Blender a couple of years ago, and it has been used a lot. However, I do understand some of the other reviewers' frustration with regard to slow download speeds. The fact that I have yet to download all the materials myself pretty much tells the story. But I am glad that this situation has been greatly improved. So much actually that I also got the HDRi Maker add-on, which I have been a bit skeptical of acquiring since it also has a huge library of files. The download speeds are now utilizing my entire bandwidth so I can confirm that this issue has been fixed. When it comes to functionality and documentation things have also improved a lot in the last few years. As it stands I think this add-on is among the top 10 "bang for your buck" add-ons on the entire Blender Market, or at least among those I have tried myself, which is several hundred or even more. You get thousands of textures a few thousand materials, and you can mix and match everything so the combinatorial possibilities are huge. I do, however, have one request for a future update and that is to make it simpler to add custom assets to the user library. I have been having varied luck with this and sometimes my materials don't get added. Maybe a function that would generate an asset library of selected folders into materials for the user library could be a way to achieve this. Anyway, I feel that I have gotten enough value out of this product to easily justify the investment. Recommended!
