How to start using the marking menus?

Just install as any other addon, activate it and call the menus with CTRL + SHIFT + ONE OF THE 3 MOUSE BUTTONS

Can I edit the menus myself?

Sure, you can dive in the code and add/tweak things, it is all yours!! :)

Is it really more efficient?

BIG TIMES! Marking menus are used since years on Autodesk Alias and proved how fast and efficient it allow you to be!!
