  It's good tools.
  Official tutorials too focused on tools features and lacks on flow and reasoning. Like, "Cool, you can cut a box, but why?"
  So if you're new to hard surface modeling, I would recommend Ponte Ryuurui and Josh Gambrell youtube channels. Besides marketing bs(Josh, please, stop, you overdo it) they have both full length tuts on workflow/pipeline and small useful videos.

  This turns Blender into an entirely different tool, but it still has those Blender controls we know and love, so you don't have to *actually* learn a new program from scratch.
  Once you get these, you won't want to go back.

  Certainly the most powerful and complete "cutter/bool-assistant" tool with the most comprehensive doc available for sure. But it is so complicated and convoluted I prefer avoid using it most of the time. Too many improvements kill the sophistication... Please forget the dot-UI thing, make Box Cutter lighter (who care about sounds and anim settings ? Why not a goddam digital input for the depth instead ? Why so much redundancies and ambiguities in HardOps menus, why these strange names (by ex. "uniquify" to duplicate) and those crooked concepts (sharpening, Ssharpening, you name it...) ?

  Howerver I have to tell how much I could learn studying BC/HO's epic documentation tutos and courses about boolean workflows, topology and yet blender itself even if I use other extra tools or just blender in my flow now, it changed my method for good. (Furthermore the dice tool is so useful it maybe deserve HO installation for itself.)

  Thank you for such an in-depth review. I am grateful for your input. When it comes to tool acquaintance, I must recommend the video docs since they go more in depth than the documentation which could alleviate some of your confusion.
  Believe it or not naming impacts more than just what you discussed. By having unique names, functions are able to be ran quickly without reading menus.
  For example my favorite hotkey is Q O T . Q menu. O Operations. T To_Shape. Over time multiple alternative names were offered over time however the hotkey of QOT is too popular to change. So this limits our mobility with changes. You may complain about names in your review but to change things to your liking would alienate more people than you'd want to hear from.

  The intended educational playlist starts off explaining some of the things you complain about however I received complaints for trying to explain it. So it remains a struggle to please everyone. Thank you for your insight and rating. It lifts the product and does wonders for motivation.

  um.. Hard ops 987_35_2 version freezes when using the mirror function in edit mode. Is this a confirmed bug?
  I am using version 3.5 Blender.

  Thank you for your product rating. That is one way to handle a support issue. Typically support issues are handled via the "Ask A Question" button due to being more efficient. Mirror has no known issues as of now. Attached is a video of mirror being tested in edit mode. Hope that helps with solving the issue.

  Blender Hard Surface modelling just got way easier. Installation was a breeze and execution is as easy as easy as remembering a few key strokes. In my case, I mapped the important keystrokes to my Stream Deck on a new profile called Hobs and Box, then enjoyed my modelling session.
  The detailed tutorials for the script are very thorough and I was up and running in no time at all. Definitely a must have if you want to take your vanilla HS modelling to the next level. Thanks guys, the Hobs and Box ultimate package really does deserve five stars…
