  Great product, managed to get even the geografts materials on top working perfectly, would be nice to have support for G8.1 that and a little more documentation would be a 5 star for me.

  After a few days of working with GlobalSkin I can confirm what many of the other reviews are saying. This is a massive upgrade to Humanify and will go on to play a significant role in my process. 5 Stars

  There is no easier way to get this amount of detail in this little time with this much customization! This addon is a must have and has saved me literal days worth of time configuring skin details for realism and has allowed me to work on other things like sculpting and working on my animations. Absolute must buy!

  If you're thinking about whether or not to buy this addon I would suggest you do, the results are amazing and realistic for "one click" but you can also go into the material nodes to customize to your liking. I use the global skin addon primarily with human generator and it makes me look like a blender professional when my skills are intermediate.

  Without a doubt one of the best addons out there right now, it makes your life a lot easier and saves you a lot of time. In a few clicks you get results that would take hours to do yourself. I recommend it 1000%

  Wait for tutorials before you buy this. It works great if you want to rapidly create textures for models that don't have any, for example if you are creating a crowd and want unique faces. But if results the dev advertises are possible at all, it seems to take a lot of subdivision on the models. I have also found it to be really good at blending in character creator headshot faces that don't quite integrate with the rest of the body. Unfortunately you lose your normals, eyebrows, and much of your texture if you're using the skin blending which is kind of the point of this. Seams do sometimes show up, but honestly it's pretty good. It is also better than character creator at creating darker skin tones, something CC neglects. I have not been able to bake it to bring the new texture back into CC so I can get the benefits of the nice new skin but recover lost details like normals and eyebrows. If you need a wide range of skin beyond your character creator/daz/human generator presents or want to make characters between these it is quite useful. The dev clearly did put a lot of work into this. If you have headshot textures that don't look as good as they could, it is useful. But unless there is something I am missing (quite possible due to the lack of documentation) I am only finding it improves realism in my models by a couple percentage points. Maybe that's worth the massive price tag to you, I am not sure it is to me. Maybe it is worth it, but I sincerely recommend you wait until others have tested this and provide tutorials about how to recreate what is in the beautiful marketing materials as I have not been able to.

  I bought this to use with Human Generator – but might extend its use to Daz3D (not touched that for years!). Despite the lack of insightful documentation, I managed to get some really good looking characters quite easily. So in that regard it’s very good and does what you expect it to. However, for the lack of UI (you’re left to fiddle around in the shader nodes), and no useful tutorials (yet), I think it’s overpriced for what it offers – I mean, it’s not far off the price of Human Generator itself! Here’s hoping for some nice docs and tutorials and maybe a few feature upgrades in the future.
