Corner Sharpener 2D & 3D
The Corner Sharpener add-on allows you to sharpen the corners of 2D and 3D objects under the subdivision modifier with just a few clicks.
Note:
- This add-on saves time by automatically creating supporting edges and removing face edges—tasks that are typically performed manually with the knife tool.
- It works best on convex surfaces.
- The selected vertex or the selected vertex of edges must have exactly three edges connected to it to sharpen the corner.

Usage
2D Sharpener:
- Switch to Edit Mode and select Vertex Mode.
- Ensure each corner vertex is connected to two boundary edges and one face edge in the mesh.
- Inset the face to create and connect the face edge in the mesh. If it’s already inset, you can skip this step.
- Select the corner vertices you want to sharpen.
- In the Tool section, select "Sharpen It" under the "SharpCorner" Tool.
- Adjust the sharpness by sliding the Factor value.
3D Sharpener:
- Switch to Edit Mode and select Edge Mode.
- Ensure each corner vertex of the edges is connected to two boundary edges and one face edge in the mesh.
- Inset the side face to create the face edge in the mesh. If it’s already inset, you can skip this step.
- Select the corner edges you want to sharpen.
- In the Tool section, select "Sharpen It" under the "SharpCorner" Tool.
- Adjust the sharpness by sliding the Factor value.
