How to use

Step 1:

Create a folder and drop BeltMaker.blend into it.

Step 2:

Set the folder containing BeltMaker.blend as your asset library in Blender's Preferences->File Paths->Asset Libraries.

Step 3:

Drop Beltmaker from Asset Browser onto the scene.

Here is a quick video walkthrough:

https://youtu.be/7JqSVMTXYuo

Controls are pretty straightforward:

Drop your own meshes into Extras and Buckles collections to customize your belt!

Note: UVs OFF/ON simply runs unwrapping on the belt, so it's best to use it once shape of the belt is set.

Note: Low Poly Holes OFF/ON changes the low poly mesh and adds caps to high poly holes to help with the baking if set to Off.

Release Notes:

BeltMaker 1.6 Snapping update (compatible with Blender 4.2+):

-It's now possible to add more than one extra type to the belt
-UV overlap checkbox for extras
-Deform checkbox for start, end and for extras
-Example asset is now auto belt type

BeltMaker 1.5 Maintenance update (compatible with Blender 4.2+):
-Cleaner UI with panels and menus
-Fixed stitches UVs

-Removed unnecessary Smooth by Angle modifier that would be added in newer versions of Blender

BeltMaker 1.4 Thickness update:
- It's now possible to adjust thickness of the belts. Video presentation: https://youtu.be/4leEvmxsmko

BeltMaker 1.3 UVs update - compatible with Blender 3.5:
- UVs no longer need to be retrieved from attributes - they will appear automatically once geometry nodes modifier is applied.

- This update is fully compatible with Blender 3.5, it is recommended to use BeltMaker 1.3 with this version of software.
Previous updates are still available in product files for legacy use with Blender 3.4 if needed.

BeltMaker 1.2 Big update:
- new asset: BeltMakerAuto - Belt will adjust it's length to the curve automatically. Basically rest of modifiers work exactly the same, only with 'Slide Holes' in place of 'Bonus Length' slider.

BeltMaker 1.1 Hotfix:
- fixed issue where crash could appear after dropping BeltMaker asset onto the scene or saving

- now there is an AnchorBeltmaker object inside BeltMaker collection. It keeps the collections order when dropping from asset browser to prevent clutter. Can be deleted once you drop asset onto the scene. Hopefully it's only temporary solution.

/// Troubleshooting for legacy BeltMaker version 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 (Since version BeltMaker 1.3 compatible with Blender 3.5 UVs appear automatically and no longer need to be retrieved from attributes!)

Once you apply geometry nodes modifier, the UVs need to be converted from attributes. Follow these steps:

-----------------

Click Convert Attribute (this screen is for Blender 3.4):
