It is possible to use EXR files with OSL script in 3ds max and cinema4d, and maybe unreal someday. However, as explained above, the EXR files are not included with this product, this is why the price difference for Blender Marketplace is much lower than the original product. If you are interested in EXR files, then there is an option to buy them for extra $15.
