Ground Explosions 1 - 10X Vdb Sequence Asset Pack
Installation & Use
Once you have downloaded your files, extract them into a folder. You don't need to place them into a specific pre-made folder - you can decide where it lives.
- VDB sequences can be HUGE - so make sure you have plenty of space
- Because the files are huge, the archives you download them in are multi-part archives; use 7zip or winRAR for windows, other utilities exist for MacOS and Linux that can unarchive multipart archives.
- You'll find the quicker your computer can read these files, the quicker your renders will build - so unarchiving and storing these assets on an SSD would be very beneficial!
Once your files have finished unarchiving, you need to let blender know about where you've put them, head to Edit > Preferences;
Choose 'File Paths' and look for 'Asset Libraries'
Add a new path using the '+' button, and locate the folder containing the files you just unarchived.
Once your File Path is set up, the assets will show up inside of the Asset Browser - you can drag and drop the assets into your scene!
You can adjust the look of the asset via it's shader setup by selecting it and looking at it's materials.
