It also comes with our own addon for ease of use and a full documentation for the product. Make sure to download the PDF documentation in the download section after purchasing the product.
What system requirements are needed to use the VDBs efficiently?
VDBs in general take a heavy toll on rendering. to use VDBs efficiently, you'll need a multi-core CPU, a high-end GPU, at least 32GB of RAM, and a fast SSD. VDBs are heavy and can take time to render, but you can speed things up by lowering the resolution, using GPU rendering, switching to Eevee for faster results (but not accurate, best render engine for VDBs is Cycles), and adjusting viewport settings. How can I integrate the portals into my Blender projects?
You can easily integrate the portals using our included Blender addon, which offers material assignments and particle-to-mesh conversions with just a few clicks.
Are the VDBs compatible with other software?
Yes, they can be imported to other software that supports the VDB format. However, our addon is only for Blender.
Can I customize the portal effects?
Yes, some aspects are customizable, such as adjusting particle shapes and colors, VDB colors, temperature, and density.
Are they loopable, and what frame rate is the animation of the VDBs?
They do not loop because of the nature of these VDBs and how they were made for cinematic purposes, Therefor they have a certain amount of frames for different use case. technically, you can render your animations with many frame rates, but the VDBs have been made to perform better and more accurately with 24fps for cinematic proposes.
How much space does the full Portal VDBs collection take?
The complete collection, with all six portals and variations, takes up 336GB. However, you only need to download the specific version(s) you require for your project, not the entire 336GB. This ensures efficient use of storage while providing flexibility to access only the necessary files for your workflow.
