  I was not going to buy True-Terrain until the Developer told me Mid may that he was going to make both a new install doc and usage tutorial for Blneder 2.8. There are many parts and an install would be nice since it seemed to need to be installed in a special order.
  So I bought True-Terrain while I waited for the usage tutorial I asked twice for help getting True-Terrain up and running in 2.8.
  Since my purchase he has ghosted me and never made either of the promised 2.8 tutorials.
  It is now almost 4 months later and not only did not make the tutorials he has not left a replay for my requests

  Hi Rob, I'm really sorry to hear you're upset by this.

  I have just searched through all the emails I've had here, and can see the last we spoke was June, and I did say at the time I will be getting tutorials up for 2.80 and have currently not done this.

  The reason for not having put up a tutorial for 2.80 yet has 3 points really:

  1- the first tutorial video explains what to install, and how to do so. Which is the same in version 2.80 under the user prefs

  2- the rest of the folders and files are not needed to install, they are additional scenes, and assets (rock pack, water shader, grass pack and textures) these aren't installed through the prefs panel. You just need to append the assets from these files.

  3- I've been working hard to rebuild the whole system with a new ui, new features and additional benefits. Which as I've mentioned in communication to you, can take its toll while I work a full time job.

  I am truly sorry that I've made you feel this way. And appreciate that it shouldn't take a review to get my attention, so I will create a new video this weekend and upload it. Again, I can't apologise enough and appreciate that you've had to wait a while. I've had a lot of emails and have honestly just missed yours in the slew of messages.

  I hope you can accept this apology.

  great addon, but there is no installation guide for those who are new to blender or starting out.

  Hi there,

  Thanks for the review.

  Just to clarify, there is only one file you need to install, and that is "World Generator 2.80zip". No other files need "installing", the other files are a rock pack (Which are appended into your scenes) and a grass pack (also appended into your scenes). The 'Master' File, includes all the assets including the tree pack, the water shader and a demo file for you to see the addon in action.

  The UI for True Terrain automatically builds the materials for your terrain meshes, and has an 'easy mode' set of sliders for quick and easy terrain changes; you would then use the node editor for more in depth changes to the materials.

  I also have 2 tutorial videos on my YouTube channel, 1 embedded into the product page info and the other is visible in my channel.

  I'm sorry if you feel that there is not enough documentation, I will attempt to add more guides to the addon.

  Well what can I say. I have bought no end of addons including cycles material vault and flip fluids and can honestly say this is the most fun. The tutorial videos are very detailed and make the process of getting to grips with the add on pretty easy.

  Not sure how the author has done it but changing the amount of rock/grass/snow etc is a doddle and allows a lot of customisation. A bonus is the water shader, I haven't yet managed to get the same results as in the tutorial videos however I didn't follow it exactly as I used a different landscape/scale.

  The only thing that I feel could improve this addon (and its not the addon itself its me) is some extra tutorials covering the true rock.

  If you want to generate landscapes that are photo realistic then grab this addon, it is incredible value and the included rock and water shaders are worth the money on their own.

  Hi Andrew, thank you for your kind words.
  Its great to get some truly constructive feedback, and now I know that tutorials on how to use the rock pack to its full advantage are what's needed.
  I'll get right on that and have something uploaded in the next few days!

  I purchased this when it first came out, and Richard was quick to respond to my questions. Due to the unstable life that military work brings, I haven't been able to take advantage of it much. But I can see the update log since I last used it has incorporated some good features and enhancements, and I know Richard has put a lot of care into making this one of the best terrain plugins of its kind.

  Great!!!
  I haven't had a lot of time to play with it, but based on the video the possibilites are amazing. So I had no doubt and deceided to support the project.
  I told the author about some more videos where we can see how this works. He answered really quick, and I know this takes a lot of time, but is great to know new videos are in the making.

  Brilliant just brilliant! Love the rock nodes especially, they bake out nicely same for the terrain, well done and a must needed tool for anyone rendering environments. P.S. please continue releasing updates for 2.79 users, some of us use Octane/Blender v2.79 which won't be going to v2.8 until after Blender goes gold.

  Thank you for your kind words. Support for 2.79 will continue indefinitely!
  I have began to convert files for 2.80 users but there will always be a 2.79 and 2.80 Variant of each file added from now on.

  Great product, just needs procedural textures. This product actually makes Ant Landscape useful and is fantastic for setting up a base scene. Its really easy to use and I like the fact that you can go in and adjust the node setup.

  Would love to see this develop further. Actually it could almost be a standalone for use in other programs as well.
