Timber - Procedural Pbr Wood Material

by Erindale in Surfacing

Timber is a procedural wood material created using Blender’s node system, which means that by changing a few parameters, you can totally change how the material looks. There are two versions here, the Pro version has all the features but does not support Eevee (due to the node limit) whereas the Lite version has been pulled back to be Eevee compatible but does lose several features in the process - these being Planer Ripple, Splits, Nails and Medullary Rays.

Both the Pro and Lite versions are very functional and create compelling timber surfaces.

Some important functions include an infinitely scaleable, non-repeating texture. Randomly laid boards. The option to switch from straight-lay to herringbone. Knots. Cupping. Minor and major grain detail. Colouring. Fine control over roughness and bump and more.
