Terra Scans - Nature Library
Please watch our "demo" YouTube video or read the documentation, it's also included in the downloaded ZIP files.
Sometimes not all preview images in the addon load in Blender 3.2 and 3.2.1. This bug doesn't appear in older Blender versions such as 3.1.2. This bug is most likely related to changes to image loading in 3.2 and will hopefully be fixed with the next Blender release. All assets can still be imported normally. If the preview images of the category you want to import an asset from do not load, you can try to close and reopen your .blend file to fix this or use Blender 3.1.2 until the bug is fixed.
If for some reason the addon did not automatically find the installation path, make sure you did not rename the zip. If it still does not work, unzip the file AFTER installation and choose the path of the unzipped folder in the addon settings by hand. Make sure to not select any subfolders like /Assets/
If you still have questions watch our "demo" YouTube video.
Yes, all updates are included, but we might raise the price for new customers as we add more assets.
At the moment (Version 1.3) 194, more assets will be available in future updates.
Yes! Just write us a message and we will make sure you get them. Please consider that we did not build materials for the high poly models and we don't guarantee that they work as good as the low poly models.
License applies, do not share the assets.
All of our assets are accurate to scale. That makes them quite small in the 3D viewport though. So if you can't see the asset after importing it, make sure to check if you're just zoomed out too far.
If it isn't imported at all, message us!
Yes, all of our materials work in Cycles and Eevee!
About 200-50k, depending on the object.
Complex objects like large rock formations have more vertices, while others have less.
Message us! We will do our best to solve your problem, please send us a message before you leave a negative review. Thanks!
If the asset's texture files should be lost for some reason, just hit the "Find Missing Files" button in our addon and the textures will be reimported or manually select the textures folder in the downloaded zip file when selecting "Find Missing Files". This is relevant for the asset browser version.
Yes! We created an asset browser version of Terra Scans that can be easily set up as a library for Blender's Asset Browser. We offer two download files: TerraScansAssetBrowserVersion.zip and TerraScansAssetBrowserCollectionAssetsVersion.zip. The first one uses object assets and is optimized for appending assets, the second one uses collection assets and is optimized for linking assets. You can also download both versions, set up two libraries and switch between them depending on if you want to append or link assets.
Yes, of course!
No, Terra Scans Full currently only holds 1 seat.
You can share everything that is licensed under GPL license such as the python plugin script. The digital assets, textures and blend files cannot be redistributed without our permission as they are released under "Royalty Free".
Yes, Terra Scans includes premade biomes for Geo-Scatter since version 1.1 and the assets can also be used to create your own particle systems with Geo-Scatter.
Our newest version 1.3 is only 100% compatible with Blender 4.0+. If you are still using an older Blender version, you can request one of our older versions or just fix some of the small bugs like the not completely compatible shaders of the mushrooms yourself.
Blender added a new principled shader in Blender 4.0 with different parameters. The mushrooms were built with this new shader and use new SSS parameters. To fix them looking completely white in older Blender versions, go into the mushroom shader group and reduce the Subsurface parameter from 1 to 0.01 or similar or connect the SSS input to Subsurface in the principled shader and then reduce the value.
