  I prefer to use illustrator or inkskape for my paths and the internal import of blender is boring to fix, especially point of origin and scale. Modification and bevel on entire complex svg is a great tool, this simplifies all and works well.
  The only little "problem" is when I assign a material and make a change in the panel, I lose the material I had assigned and the "SVGmat" material returns, even if I change the original "SVGmat".
  I' using last 2.79 f4dc9f9d68b.
  I hope you fix this in future release, then it will be really perfect for me.
  Very useful tool, I really needed it. Thank you!
