Space Switcher
Welcome to the Space Switcher documentation!
The Space Switcher addon is a tool for offsetting the animation of bones. It does this by creating an empty object for each selected bone and adding a Copy Transforms constraint to the empty with the target set to the selected bone. This allows you to easily manipulate the animation of the bones by moving, rotating, and scaling the empty objects.
Here's a rundown of the features included in the addon:
- Space Switch button: This button creates an empty object for each selected bone and applies a Copy Transforms constraint as described above.
- Toggle ON/OFF button: This button allows you to enable or disable the constraints applied by the Space Switch button. This can be useful if you want to temporarily disable the constraints to make adjustments to the animation, and then re-enable them once you're done.
- Frames Number setting: This setting allows you to specify the range of frames over which the space switching should be applied. This can be useful if you only want to offset the animation for a specific portion of your animation.
- Clear Constraints button: This button allows you to remove all constraints from the selected bones. This can be useful if you want to start over or reset the animation of the bones.
- Show/Hide Proxies button: This button allows you to toggle the visibility of the empty objects created by the Space Switch button. This can be useful if you want to see the underlying bones while working with the empty objects.
Installation:
To use the addon, first make sure it's installed and enabled in your Blender user preferences (Edit > Preferences > Addons). Then, open the 3D View Tools panel and use the buttons and settings as described above to offset the animation of your bones.
