Smoke Pack & Smoke Shader
For complexe scenes most of us don't want to waste too much time on the small details, but above all we don't want to have to spend additional rendering time on them. So why not use low-polygon planes instead of computer-intensive simulations?
So I started to build up a small library of different types of smoke. To quickly adapt them to the needs of the 3D scene, I also added an advanced shader.
Content:
This pack includes 30 different realistic smoke planes in different style and angles to cover as many potential scenarios and areas of use as possible. The planes are being prepared to be transparent due to the shader and can be changed in terms of color, appearance density and edges.
Footage, please?
If you are focused in moving smoke footages, then the smoke footage pack is the right choice for you.
20 different realistic smoke footages in different style and angles to cover as many potential scenarios and areas of use as possible. Some of them have a fade-in or a fade-out effect or smoke continuously due to the looping effect.
Benefit:
This type is definitely an alternative to the quick creation of smoke. It's a big time saver and there is no need to worry about your GPU memory because of the smoke planes. You can create fast and easy smoke, and if you spend a little bit more time with the smoke shader, you will achieve fantastic results when adapting with the 3D scene.
Limitations:
They can't replace hyper realistic simulations and they are planes, so thin like slices of cheese. So you have to fake it as a good 3D Artist. But it's only a matter of the camera angle to hide their thin character.
Their undynamic character in the direction of colour and light you have to fake it with the shader. So again, for a good 3D Artist this isn't a problem.
