The Shipwright

I'm finding it a bit slow. Why is that?

The add-on is doing lots of python code based calculations and the default set up is benchmarked at least around 10-15 seconds. I'll keep working to improve the speed of the add-on, but let me know if you are having serious performance issues or errors.

Does this come with all the required add-ons?

Shipwright will come with all the required add-ons.

Already have the add-ons? If you have already supported me by purchasing these, see the pricing options to get the core set-up without certain add-ons already bundled.  Please check you select the right option, as the set-up will not work without the required add-ons.  

I seem to have a crash when I first open the file and change a seed value. What could that be?

Some users seem to have a problem with some versions of Blender and the GPU.  First, try the following:

  • Try moving the camera around and then changing seed value to see if the problem persists.
  • If that fixes the problem, try changing the default Cycles setting to CPU in the Render Properties panel.  Resave the file.

What is the difference between this and The Starship Generator?
