HOW TO USE BLENRIG TO ANIMATE
THE CHARACTER IN BLENDER 2.79 AND BLENDER 2.8

I. INSTALL BLENRIG ADDON
I.1. INSTALL BLENRIG ADDON IN BLENDER 2.8
- Select Edit Item on the Menu → Preferences
- Select Addons Tab → Press Install
- Select BlenRig 5 for Blender 2.8 → Press Install Add-on from File…
- Tick on the Rigging: BlenRig 5 checkbox → Close the window
I.2. INSTALL BLENRIG ADDON IN BLENDER 2.79
- Select File Item on the Menu → User Preferences…
- Select Addons Tab → Press Install Add-on from File…
- Select BlenRig 5 for Blender 2.7x → Press Install Add-on from File… button
- Tick on the Rigging: BlenRig 5 checkbox → Press Save User Settings
II. USE BLENRIG TO ANIMATE CHARACTER
II.1. BLENDER 2.8
- First, in the 3D Viewport Window, press N to toggle View Properties → Select BlenRig5 Tab.
- Note: If you don’t see the content in BlenRig 5 Controls Panel, you need to restart Blender to fix this.
- Select/Deselect Layer in the Armature Layers to show/hide control group in the layer
- Click on the button (Head FK,example) to toggle the linked control (head_fk), etc
- Move the mouse on FK 1(or IK 0 ) → Press on the > button (or < button) to switch between FK control and IK control
II.2. BLENDER 2.79
- First, in the 3D View Window, press T → Select BlenRig 5 Tab.
- Select/Deselect Layer in the Armature Layers to show/hide control group in the layer
- Click on the button (Head FK,example) to toggle the linked control (head_fk), etc
- Move the mouse on FK 1(or IK 0 ) → Press on the > button (or < button) to switch between FK control and IK control
III. SPEED UP BLENDER TIP
III.1. BLENDER 2.8
- To speed up Blender while animating, you can hide Hair Particles in Viewport by selecting Face object → In the Properties window, select Particles tab → Turn off the Display Modifier in Viewport function.
- After doing that, you can’t see hair of the character in the viewport. But hair will appear when you render the character.
And in the Render Results window:

- To speed up Blender while animating, you can hide Hair Particles in Viewport by selecting Face object → In the Properties window, select Particles tab → Deselect the Display Modifier in Viewport function (turn off the eyes)
