Overview
The Quick Object Explorer is a Blender add-on designed to simplify and expedite common 3D modeling tasks. Compatible with Blender 3.0 and above, this add-on provides a set of operators and a dedicated panel to help users manage and manipulate objects efficiently.
Installation

Download the Add-on: Obtain the
.zip
file containing the add-on from the official source or repository. -
Install in Blender:
- Open Blender.
- Go to
Edit
>Preferences
>Add-ons
. - Click on
Install...
and select the downloaded.zip
file. - Enable the add-on by checking the checkbox next to "Quick Object Explorer".
Features
1. Object Selection

Operator:
object.quick_select
- Description: Selects an object by name.

Usage:
- Enter the name of the object in the provided field.
- Click the "Select Object" button to make the object active and visible in the viewport.
2. Object Duplication
-
Operator:
object.quick_duplicate
- Description: Duplicates the selected object(s).

Usage:
- Select the object(s) you want to duplicate.
- Click the "Duplicate Object" button to create copies.
3. Object Mirroring

Operator:
object.quick_mirror
- Description: Mirrors the selected object(s) along the X-axis.

Usage:
- Select the object(s) you want to mirror.
- Click the "Mirror Object" button to create mirrored copies.
4. Mesh Subdivision

Operator:
object.quick_subdivide
- Description: Adds a subdivision to the selected mesh object(s).

Usage:
- Select the mesh object(s) you want to subdivide.
- Click the "Subdivide Object" button to add subdivisions.
5. Send to Floor
-
Operator:
object.quick_send_to_floor
- Description: Moves the selected object(s) so that they rest on the floor based on their bounding box.

Usage:
- Select the object(s) you want to align with the floor.
- Click the "Send to Floor" button to adjust their position.
6. Object Casting
-
Operator:
object.quick_cast
- Description: Applies a Cast Modifier to the selected mesh object(s) to change their shape.

Usage:
- Select the mesh object(s) you want to cast.
- Click the "Cast Object" button to apply the modifier.
7. Array Modifier
-
Operator:
object.quick_array
- Description: Adds and configures an Array Modifier on the selected mesh object(s).

Properties:

count
: Number of elements in the array. -
offset_x
: Offset in the X direction. -
offset_y
: Offset in the Y direction. -
offset_z
: Offset in the Z direction. -
use_constant_offset
: Use a constant offset. -
use_object_offset
: Use an object as the offset.

Usage:
- Select the mesh object(s) you want to apply the Array Modifier to.
- Set the desired parameters for the Array Modifier.
- Click the "Add Array Modifier" button to apply the modifier.
User Interface
The add-on integrates into Blenderโs UI as a dedicated panel:

Panel Features:
- Object List: Displays all objects in the scene.
- Action Buttons: For selecting, duplicating, mirroring, subdividing, sending to floor, casting, and adding an array modifier.
- Array Modifier Parameters: Controls for configuring the Array Modifier.
Troubleshooting
- Object Not Found: Ensure the object name is correctly entered and that the object exists in the scene.
- No Object Selected: Make sure you have selected the object(s) before using operators that modify or duplicate objects.
- Modifier Issues: Verify that the selected objects are meshes before applying modifiers.
