Quadwrap- Retopology Tool
QuadWrap was designed to make retopology simple & user-friendly.
I have included Dynamic Hotkeys which will help you understand how QuadWrap works. The UI is simplified & ready for both Basic - Professional users.
Let's get started:
Installation is simple. Once you have your file downloaded. Head over to the Blender Preferences.
Add-ons > Install.. > "QuadWrap_v1_3(Blender4.0).zip" > Install Add-on > Enable QuadWrap & the Panel will show up in the Retopology tab:
ToolShelf(N) > Retopology Tab > QuadWrap Panel
Now you're ready to retopo your mesh!
Begin by selecting your target object. This will tell the tool what object you want to work on first.
Once you have your model selected, go ahead & click "Start QuadWrap":
Before you begin wrapping your mesh, make sure to set the vertex count for that Ring.
You can change the number of vertices for the Ring in the UI Panel.
Wrapping your mesh only takes a single stroke. Quads are instantly generated by guiding the direction.
Click & Drag Feature:
A single Ring can be added & extended using LMB(Left Mouse Button)
You can also add multiple Cloaks. A new Cloak can be wrapped using the RMB(Right Mouse Button) Key.
Bridging edge loops is a breeze with this tool. You can hover over each ring & automatically Bridge them. Make sure you set the number of Bridge Cuts.
Bridge option: Merge
Take control of your retopology:
Manipulating EdgeRings
Each Ring is pre-highlighted so you can quickly Move, Rotate, Twist & Fill that selection:
Once you are satisfied with your result, you can extract the Quads when Applying.
Exiting out of the Modal is easy, all you have to do is hit the 'ESC' key & QuadWrap will exit out of the tool mode(If you are ever stuck at the Panel, just search for QuadWrap Brush in the search bar(f3) & exit)
