Does this work with Eevee?
Yes, but not with full functionality (ambient occlusion). As usual, for best results use Cycles.
Do I need to know anything about nodes to use this?
Nope! It's designed to be easy to use and all you have to interact with is the sliders (unless you want to dive into the node group).
