Really great shader. If I had one request, it would be to have the option to make the background any single color. I arranged it myself in the shader editor and it works fine, but it would be nice to have it that way from the start.

Great node group. Little sad that it gets noisy with high DOF/Blur. You could use compositing or camera DOF for that though. I'd love to see this evolving into an actual addon as a "pro" Version with extra features.

I usually dont answer on reviews, but i need to correct a few statements here:
1) its not noisy, unless you exaggerate the DOF value, as described.
2)a shader has no other way than to get it to your file, other than append or link it. you can add it to your asset library, once you made a background, you like.
3)unless you switch to render view, and just look at it changing in realtime :)
apart from that just read the documentation, each value is explained, and examples are shown of changing values on the product page.
4)asset browser as mentioned in 2)

wish it had proper setup instructions instead of just Append a nodegroup.sheesh.Not beginner friendly,vastly disappointed.

everythings explained in the product documentation and shown in the description.
apart from that, you can just switch to render view and watch the values change in realitme, to get an idea of what they mean.
it is beginner friendly, if you are a beginner in nodes and shading.

Looks great! Is it faster than using the right image? No. Is it faster than finding and choosing the right image to use? Oh yes!

Great idea, I just started using it but I think it will be good lighting for hard surface. Not sure how to make a asset out of it, but I appended the world into my scene and it was golden. A lot of controls to fiddle with, so the possibility to learn and grow with this thing is tremendous.
