Brilliant add-on. The concept is simple, yet very powerful. It will save you many mouse clicks and key presses.

    In object mode:
Drag the mouse on a selected object and everything selected moves (grab)
Drag the mouse outside the objects gives box select
Double-click an object to enter edit mode

    In edit mode:
Drag the mouse starting outside the object is box select.
Hold ALT will select in x-ray mode.
Drag inside an object and the selection is moved
Double click outside an object exits edit mode
Double click inside an object with face-select selects all faces with similar normals on the same level.

The author is very quick to respond. When I experienced problems because of my specific Linux operating system, he sent me a fixed version within hours.
When I tried it, I was amazed that only ten people had bought this add-on before me. I would definitely recommend you give this a shot!

This is one of those Addons that result in such a global shift in your interaction with the software that you could make a case that this is the way that Blender should work by default. I think it should work this way.

The default interaction model of any 3D software is a really important thing. How you select objects, manipulate them, and tweak them adds up to thousands of clicks, and untold minutes as you use a piece of software. Not all of them think it out really well. This makes that interaction model definitely better and saves you clicks.

Very well made and integrated Addon. If you're a workflow/productivity nerd, you're going to dig this one.

Before I begin my review, you need to understand why this add-on is really great for me, let me explain a little. Back in Jan 2019 I had a major stroke. I lost all my freelance clients and can no longer work. I have neuropathy in my hands so I look for add-ons that will drastically cut back on my hand/mouse use. I currently can only use a drawing tablet to replace my mouse. So, now I only do Blender as a hobby. Anyways (to shorten the story).

When I first saw Power Selector (PS) appear on Blender market, I passed it over thinking it was just a simple basic add-on. But, after I finally watched the video demo, I was like, "What!! This is just what I need!"

PS takes the Tweak & Box Select tool and combines them into one function. For selecting and moving, it is mainly for object mode only. But, this alone saves me having to switch in between the Tweak/Box Select/Transform tools so often. However, in edit mode, if you want to select a single vertex/edge/face and move, you can. But, multiple vertex/edges/Faces will require you to switch to the Tweak/Transform tool. Box select will work in edit mode. This is the only major feature I think needs to be added in the future.... the ability to also move multiple selected vertex/edges/faces with PS. This will make this add-on TOP NOTCH!!

With all that being said, the most important function PS does is what is called "Transparent Select." This function allows you to select ALL vertices/edges/faces using box select WITHOUT having to use Blender's transparent tool on top. That tool is the most frustrating thing when I want to select vertices for editing. I would enable the button, but If I click off or select something else (going out of edit mode), it would disable. Thus, not realizing it was off, I would move my vertices and not realize that I didn't select the vertices on the back of the mesh; Very Frustrating! This add-on solves this tremendously. What a time saver for me!!!

Another awesome feature of PS, is the ability to select multiple faces by just dragging my mouse over the faces with having to use the keyboard/tool for Circle Select, it automatically does it for you; another time saver for me. I love this!!

There are more things I could add here, but suffice it to say. Go watch the demo video, you will see it in action. This add-on will be the most important add-on I have because of the neuropathy in my hands. I will save 80% of my switching tools/mouse shortcuts by using PS.

I can't believe Blender doesn't do this natively. This is one of those add-ons that should be either built into Blender or included and an addon. II highly recommend this!!
