Nearly identically, yes. I cannot guarantee that the algorithms used are perfectly identical, but the output has been virtually indistinguishable in every test I've done.
Is Pointiness for EEVEE compatible with Cycles?
Yes. This means no extra steps are required if you want to use Pointiness in a shader that works with both EEVEE & Cycles.
