José Espelius is the author of the Las Ventas bullring, designed in neo-Mudejar style and started in 1919.

It is in neo-Mudejar style in exposed brick on a metal structure.

  The decoration was made based on ceramic tiles, works by the ceramist Alfonso Romero Mesa, in which the coats of arms of all the Spanish provinces and other ornamental motifs appear.
