Parquet Generator

by Riccardo Fasoli in Surfacing

Can i plug custom maps into the input sockets?

Sure you can!
As example, let's say you want scratches to be just in some areas defined by another texture: All you have to do is plugging that texture into the Scratches socket. I recommend to insert a Map Range node in between the two to have a better control of the maximum and the minimum amount.

I'm having mapping problems!

Parquet Generator is a UV Based shader, therefore, if you are using a non-square floor, you should unwrap it.
to do that, you can simply select your floor, go into top view, switch to edit mode, select all and projecting it from view. At this point it should work just fine.
Sound like a lot but it's really just: click on the floor > 7 > tab > "A" > "U" > "Project from view".
:)
