  The normal mixing node is brilliant! I just downloaded it 10 mins ago and I'm already blown away. The color indexing thing will take a little more time to wrap my head around.

  What a great addon! I have messed around with different node groups for years and have never been fully happy with the results. I guess I just can't wrap my mind around the math, and this addon is cheap and just gets it done! This really should be a basic feature added to Blender, but because it's not, I'd really recommend grabbing it so you never have to think about doing it again. It will instantly allow you to add a lot of realism to your models by giving you options of adding multiple levels of normal details such as surface imperfections and scratches added to more prominent normals...and of course giving you a good amount of control in adjusting the strength. Can't recommend this enough!
