I can't see through the glass of the nixie tube, what gives?
You need to enable "Screen Space Reflections" as well as "Refraction" under the render settings for the glass material to render properly.
How do I change the digit shown on the nixie tube?
On the N-panel, under the Items tab, there is a heading labelled Properties. If you have the insert selected, you should see a custom property labelled "digit" or "active-digit". You can change the value there and animate it by either setting up a driver or keyframing the value.
