Meshanalyzer Pro
Unfortunately, MeshAnalyzer Pro will only show what's going on. Sometimes "faulty" geometry might be fully intentional. MeshAnalyzer Pro is only intended to help visualize mesh features.
- The actual analysis is pretty performant. If you are experiencing performance issues, start by disabling "Auto-Sync". Auto-Sync will perform the "Analyze All" operator on every mesh change.
- With very large meshes, the overlay may become too much. Disable parts of it in addon preferences or the whole overlay in the properties menu. You can still select parts (for example 3-poles) with the "Select 3-Poles" operator.
- Firstly, make sure you are in "Edit"-mode, the addon works only in "Edit"-mode.
- If you are in "Edit"-Mode, make sure that in the properties panel ("N") under MeshAnalyzer Pro, "Toggle Overlay" is toggled on.
- The overlay is only shown, when the addon has sufficient data. If "Auto-Sync" in the addon properties is disabled, hit the "Analyze All" - Button to generate the data.
- Finally, check that in addon preferences the individual checkmarks for poles, ngons etc are toggled on.
- If everything fails, contact me and I will help you solve the issue.
If you just want to use it "in between" different modelling phases and don't want to be bothered by it during modelling, the most important setting will be "Auto-Sync" in the addon's preferences.
You can find this setting in "Edit"->"Preferences" in the MeshAnalyzer Pro section under the "Addon" tab.
Now to perform the analysis just hit "Shift-M" and select "Analyze all" or use the Button in the Panel ("N").
