WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
This is the Mesh Groups addon for Blender 2.8 and further releases. With this addon, it is possible to assign vertex groups, edge groups and face groups.
WHY DO I NEED THIS?
In the standard version of Blender, it is only possible to define Vertex Groups. While this is a handy feature, it does not allow for assigning strictly edges or faces. This is a frustrating limitation that many users have encountered, and this addon finally solves that problem.
LET'S TALK FEATURES
The Mesh Groups addon works in a similar way to the original Vertex Groups in Blender.
* Assigning and removing geometry (vertices, edges or faces) to a mesh group
* Selecting and deselecting a mesh group
