Low Poly Trees Scatter

by Šime Bugarija in Models

Low Poly Trees Scatter is a simple but efficient Geometry Nodes Asset Package that enables quick and easy distribution of super low poly trees (from 8 to 32 vertices per tree) in your scene.

Even though the trees are super-low-poly, they look detailed because of the advanced shader that uses a combination of color-normal and alpha maps to make the plane react to light like a 3d object.

The trees are divided into 4 categories (seasons), so you can easily create different landscapes (e.g. snowy, green, autumn, coniferous, deciduous...)

Distribution can be done via Geometry nodes modifier (sliders) or via Weight paint (drawing with a brush on the object).

Due to the low density of the mesh, low poly trees are incredibly fast and easy to calculate, so they are also suitable for users with weaker computers.

The package is intended for the creation of big-scale environments, (eg aerial shots) or as background trees.

Although the trees are low-poly, a large number of tree textures (50), plus a large number of variations (size, color offset in the shader) make it possible that no tree is exactly the same, so the final result looks convincing.

The trees also have a translucent shader that is placed only on the leaves, so the tree reacts to the light even if the light is behind the tree.
The asset package comes with detailed video instructions lasting 19 minutes.
