Low Poly Junco Rig

by MWallace3D in Models

Ready to animate! Upon opening the scene, you will find 3 main objects:

mesh_low <-- this is your bird model.
bird_skeleton <-- this is the deform skeleton.
bird_controls <-- this is the animation rig.

If you are animating, there are 5 bone layers available to help isolate/hide rigging controls if necessary. There are also additional feet/claw control drivers located in the Armature panel (under properties).

NOTE: The wing rigging design relies on several helper objects (hidden away in the Helpers folder)
- There is an 'outline' mesh used to attach feather bones to the base of the arm.
- FeatherBoneHelper objects are parented to every 'outline' mesh vertex, and are the constraint targets for the skeleton.
