  Yes, you could do it all by hand but WHY? Why would you do that if you have tons of 3D models to go through. Now, one click and you're all set. I really did this add on AND URGE ANYONE who needs LOD to invest into this. Now, what I'd love to see is also the ability to lower the textures resolution while getting my LODs.
