Lattice Mirror
Lattice Mirror
Lattice Mirror is a Blender addon designed to streamline the process of editing lattice points. With Lattice Mirror, you can do real-time lattice points mirroring along a specified axis, simplifying complex editing tasks and speeding up your workflow.
Features
- Axis Selection: Choose the axis along which you want to mirror lattice points.
- Dynamic Mirroring: Start or stop mirroring with ease as you move your lattice points.
- Blender Compatibility: Developed and tested on Blender 3.6, but compatible with any Blender version after 2.8.
Installation
- In Blender, navigate to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
- Click the "Install" button and select the downloaded ZIP file.
- Enable the "Lattice Mirror" addon by checking the box next to it in the Add-ons list.
Usage
- In the sidebar (press 'N' to toggle if not visible), Item - find the Lattice Mirror panel.
- Choose the desired mirroring axis (X, Y, or Z) and press Start Mirror
- Select the lattice points you wish to mirror.
- Start editing your lattice points, and they will mirror along the selected axis in real-time.
Limitations
- Editing Multiple Points: Be aware that editing multiple points across multiple lattices simultaneously may not function as expected.
- V1.0.2: To be compatible with Proportional Edit, bad performance may occur in some environments. Reducing the Lattice Resolution or using older Version 1.0.1 may be helpful for better performance.
Update
- To update, please remove the older version and install the newer one. Make sure to restart Blender after the installation is finished.
- V1.0.2 (Mar 4, 2024): 1. Be compatible with Proportional Edit. 2. Selected middle points are movable along the mirror plane
- V1.0.1 (Feb 29, 2024): Middle points are selectable when mirroring.
