Hierarchy Scroll
Hierarchy Scroll
While in the 3D viewport, navigate and select through your object's hierarchy or the scene's hierarchy using your mouse scroll. The script contains two operators:
- Select Hierarchy Scroll: Selects through the entire scene's hierarchy, regardless of your current selection.
- Select Hierarchy Scroll Selection Only: Selects through the hierarchy of only the currently selected object.
Scroll up: Moves one level up in the hierarchy.
Scroll down: Moves one level down in the hierarchy.
Ctrl + Scroll up/down: Cycles through objects within the same hierarchy level.
Left-click: Confirms the selection and exits the operator with the objects selected.
A: Adds to the selection - useful if you want to select multiple hierarchies and/or specific objects within hierarchies.
Right-click or ESC: Exits the Hierarchy Scroll without confirming the selection.
