Realistic Earth Documentation
Thank you for purchasing! I have set up this Earth file to be as easy to use as possible, but I will explain it all here just in case you run into any trouble. The PDF version of this documentation is included in the download file and contains explanatory pictures alongside the text. The most important part of creating an earth suitable for your purposes is its shader. This can be controlled from either the properties panel or the node editor. For more precise control, you can press tab on the "Earth Shader" node to open it up. Each the group is divided into different sub-sections, each controlling one important aspect of the shader. The Earth's shader uses drivers to input the sun's rotation into Cycles. If the sun object is deleted and replaced by another light source, the day/night transition will not work. If, for whatever reason, you need to replace the sun, you must also replace the object with which the drivers are connected. To do so, open up the drivers section of the graph editor and choose your new sun in the "Ob/Bone" drop down list. That's all there is to it! I hope you find everything useful and easy to use. If you need help, support, or would like to return this product for any reason, please do so via the support page. Happy Blending! Jonathan Lampel
