  This is from far the best addon I seen of this kind

  ( I bought the FULL version at full price and it's completely worth it )

  First , the insects are made in such quality you can do pretty much proximity shots . The module to make them move and control their behavior is VERY wise and has enough options to allow us to make a lot lot of scenes . You can make insects follow a curve , create attraction objects , control how much the insect will do unpredictated moves and how ofter etc etc.

  Honestly , other addons are on the market to do pretty much similar things but , I felt this one had more love put in the models of insects , birds etc.

  In my scenes , it looks purely like real insects. No polygons issues seen in any way . This is artwork and if you worry a bit about the price , I can tell you it's worth it and on other platforms , this price would be tripled for this level of quality. That said , we are on Blender because mainly we are experiences freelancers which often have truly low budgets so it's a chance having the opportunity to encourage TRB assets and all other creators doing stuff like this on Blender.

  You hesitate ? It's sure you'll be satisfied according to my experience. All your desires or almost will be possible in terms of bugs , birds etc.

  I prefer one addon only for each needs in some cases. As I know doing this kind of thing is already a big work for creators , I prefer them to concentrate on one thing ... .but do it considering correctly the general needs of users and even more. The problem with AIO addons doing fire , tornados , swarms , particle systems etc ... in the same addon , is that you get way less customisation options ... in general . The work put on each section of these heavy addons ... is sometimes less important and you will get an average " not so bad " result .... but what about professional look results ? If you want to be sure the result will suit pro needs , I encourage you VERY MUCH to do like me and concentrate on ONE ADDON FOR ONE NEED . A spawning addon , another only for volumes , one for the turbo-rendering etc etc . Whene it's too much packed with all sort of things you mostly won't use on a regular basis ... it's just using more ressources of your PC when you activate it. Doing like I choose let you activate only the needs you have , keeping your machine clean and memory lower too probably .

  There are really good companies on Blendermarket since a couple of months / years. I'm looking also for effects on trees and I saw those Any Tree addons etc . It's addictive to buy here because geeks working on blender are for most of them doing it by passion first , not just to purely make money. Sometimes you get stuff that is just ok but most of the time , if you shop wisely , you'll get incredible products like this one for a very fair price.

  I had no major bugs with this addon . I didn't find yet a bake option but you can set a bake folder so I'm pretty sure it's automatically doing in when it's set.

  This addon is not about another " unfinished " thing. You get informations about what each button does , no " input connect socket " message everywhere instead of explanations . It's so intuitive and well accompanied by pertinent infos that I didn't have yet to use a tutorial .

  The N-Menu is a real complete N-Menu and you don't have to go tweeking all sort of things by yourself inside all sort of sections like a bunch of disorganized geometry nodes. Some addons are half-made work and the creator must give long and videos to describe how we must complete the addon work by all sort of manual operations . With Geo-Swarm , it's a to go. You spawn , you choose all your behaviors and it goes. No constant need to go debug things in edit mode , no misleading procedures.

  This is a lovely thing. The 5 stars average is a real 5 stars , trust me.

  Things that could be enhanced ? Yes maybe like all other addons. Maybe more sort of insects by category and some new birds species but it's already way enough to make pretty much every project . I'm having fun for days creating a " Green Giant " with it's insects , birds and animals around . It's fantastic .

  Soooo good! I've been able to quickly add some life into my scene and the results are fantastic. Can't imagine how long it would have taken me to do all the rigging and animation setups on my own.....saved me a lot of time. Thanks a bunch!

  If you need realistic hordes of rats, this will simulate the back of a fast food restaurant very accurately. Author is responsive to supporters, and certainly worth the donation. A+

  One of the best thought out User Interfaces in Blender. Use it almost every day for a Big Project. Not a Single flaw. Swarm animations look very realistic. Love it!

  Yep, does exactly what it says, and is easy to set up and control. I've dicovered a few minor limitations, which the developer explained are more the shortcomings of Blender than anything else (like creatures that avoid each other). I wish it had a few options for different fish swimming lazily about – ideal for ponds and streams – but largely happy with my purchase!

  Very intuitive and easy to use. Quality is great for shots that are not too close. Immediately made a Dracula castle with bats circling around the tower. Very cool!

  Total control on swarm simulations with any model.
  The presets/creature provided work very well out of the box and the assets very good looking.
