Fully Animated FDM 3D printer

A fully animated FDM (fused deposition modelling) 3D printer ready for objects to be imported and with a few easy steps your models can appear like they are 3D printed in a layer by layer deposition. The animation appears like a common time-lapse video of a 3D printer printing. 4 filaments are included with corresponding materials and textures.  This product is a great way to add an extra technical aspect to your animations or use it to create logo animations.

The Materials

The materials included in this product are simple textures created in blender to illustrate the layer by layer deposition. The color example material plane can be modified to create any color desired and rendered to create the texture for the printed object.

The Technology

Fused Deposition Modelling 3D printing relies on a solid filament which is heated by the head and extruded out through a nozzle. The materials are optimized so that when the material is deposited on the build plate more layers of material can be deposited on top in a layer by layer deposition. With this technology many different and complex objects can be created that is difficult and sometimes impossible with other manufacturing techniques.
