Fracture Volume

by CGMatter in Modifier Setups

What is the difference between Lite and the full version?

The Lite version just has one simple function: cut a selection into 2 fragments. You can do this as much as you want, further dividing islands, but that's it. On the other hand, the full version lets you have:

  • Multiple cuts in a single operation
  • Randomization controls for different patterns
  • Non-flat cuts (and controls for this)
  • Some debug settings
What if I want to upgrade?

If you got the Lite version and want to upgrade, you just need to pay the difference (instead of paying the full price) - make sure you do this through the same blendermarket account you originally used.

Strange results?
  • Biggest thing to do is hit Ctrl + A (apply transforms hotkey) and apply scale only.
  • Reroll (different seed)
  • Use the 2 debug checkboxes

Will future updates be free?

Yes! You have perpetual free updates when they happen.

How do I install?

In general you install Fracture Volume by appending it to the asset browser. You do this just like any other asset library. Here is a tutorial:
make sure that you're giving the path to the root folder, not the .zip!

Fracture Volume operator isn't showing up?

Make sure:

  • You are using Blender 4.0 or above
  • You've added the asset library file path and refreshed the library (this is the most common symptom, sometimes assets don't load until you drag them onto the scene) - if you cant find the tool in the CGMatter folder, some people have it in the unassigned section of the asset broswer
  • Reopen Blender after updating the asset library

if none of these works, get in contact with me.
