  It could be user error but the eyes don't rotate during rendering. The mesh does but not the texture itself.

  I use these eyes fairly often and the customizability out of the box is pretty great. One caveat is that they aren't animation ready, requiring baking the textures (and losing functionality) for rigged characters. If this were fixed in an update or a workaround was provided I'd update the review to five stars.
