Documentation: Blender Rolling Objects Simulation Addon

Installation Instructions

1. Download the Addon:

   • Obtain the latest version of the Blender Rolling Objects Simulation Addon from the official website or Blender Market.

2. Install the Addon:

   • Open Blender.
   • Go to Edit > Preferences.
   • Select the Add-ons tab.
   • Click on Install and navigate to the downloaded addon file.
   • Enable the addon by checking the box next to its name.

Using the Addon

1. Select Objects to Roll:

   • In the 3D Viewport, select the objects you wish to simulate rolling.

2. Simulate Rotation:

   • Press the Roll Selected Objects button located in the addon panel.
   • The addon will automatically calculate each object's rotation based on its surface area for accurate simulation.

3. Enable Simulation:

   • For proper calculation, click on the Enable Simulation button. This activates the physics simulation for the selected objects.

4. Set Keyframes:

   • Once the simulation is enabled, set keyframes for the transformation of the objects to capture the rolling motion over time.

Soft-Body Bulge Creation

1. Enable Soft-Body Intersection:

   • To create a soft-body bulge for the rolling objects, enable the Soft Body Intersection parameter in the addon panel.

2. Adjust Bulge Amount:

   • You can change the amount of the bulge until you achieve the desired look. This feature adds a realistic deformation effect to rolling objects, enhancing the visual appeal.

Tips for Optimal Results

• Surface Area Calculation:

  • Ensure that the object's geometry is clean and properly modeled for accurate surface area calculations.

• Keyframing:

  • Use smooth keyframe transitions to create realistic rolling animations.

• Soft-Body Bulge:

  • Experiment with different bulge amounts and settings to find the perfect balance for your scene.
