  This could be 2 stars rating, but I chose to rate it with one star.

  Inserts are either for shaping, adding details, cutting into meshes or adding models, materials or operators. By that, it should be flexible, and useable, depending on the style you create - from basic stuff to specific, even complex styles.

  This K-Pack is focusing on providing basic, simple stuff without a specific style in mind, it seems it tends towards sci-fi, but it is still basic and flexible.

  On the other hand, it is providing simple to mid-complex models, mostly broing sci-fi or even hi-fi stuff. Nothing unique, sometimes it seems there are models which have been taken from own product desgin projects, it doens't feel good to have this terrible supposition.

  Additionally, there are also decals. They are just ultra, basic, or random mix compositions. Stuff you can do in 2 minutes (a point and a circle around it for example, and an arrow), or stuff which is graphically just trash.

  There is a good thing, and a bad thing. The good thing is, that it has some basic stuff which can be useful (basic meshes, operators). The bad thing is: most things which are just a little bit more complex or mid-complex, and that are not fundamental tend to be a certain type of product design. That's the big problem here.

  The developer seems not to be very talented when it comes to generally useful stuff which is more than basic. He is missing fully the goal to make this addon compatible with existing design styles. As Hard Surface Modeling is often about sci-fi, he even does not provide very useful stuff for that. It could be just more geniuous, as it is advertised.

  The developer is a better programmer and marketer, compared to when it comes to 3D. The Design Magic K-Pack has massive downsides, which can not be ignored. Semi-professionals and professionals might want to use this, but in most cases they can do this stuff without Kit Ops, or with Kit Ops, but with own models, which does make sense if you want to create specific 3D art styles. This package can be funny to play with if you are a beginner and maybe an advanced user and want to quickly do basic stuff. If you search for professional, very useful and more complex stuff, you should avoid this addon and choose better ones, or even do a K-Pack by yourself.

  So, don't be fooled by a good advertising concept. At the end, the content counts. The price is not worth it. It should be around 20$, or maybe 22$. If it is on sale, you might want to buy it. But I can not recommend it at this price. 1/3 too much for just some basic stuff you are getting here. Better buy the addons of this guy. These are solid tools.

  I take it you didn't watch any of the videos. There are many videos showing how and why you can use INSERTS as non-destructive building blocks for any type of design. I've created over 200 3D print designs using this technique.

  Furthermore, I do concept artwork for major companies including Nvidia using this same technique. Certainly, if you are not happy you should ask for a refund.

  Since you have attacked my bona fides, here are but a few:
  - I have won multiple design awards and was named one of the top 40 designers by International Design Magazine years ago.
  - I have designed lunar bases for NASA, crew emergency return vehicles for the space station, multiple computers for Compaq, Apple, Texas instruments, Sony, Toshiba and others.
  - A few years ago I was hired by China to help design an innovations center in the Hunan province.
  - I have sat on many design judging panels including the prestigious Business Week awards.
  - I have owned and run several design companies, including one with offices in China, Tokyo, San Francisco and Austin which grew to over 400 and ended up being sold as I retired.

  My suggestion, as always, is before showing your dissatisfaction as part of a rating tantrum, discuss your issues with the creator of the product. It may help you understand how to use it better, which it appears you could use some help with. Have a good day.

  I purchased this addon shortly after Kit Ops 2 and they're well worth the money, especially if you use Blender a lot. They'll easily make me (at least) twice as efficient in as little as a day. I know that after I get really comfortable with them, they'll increase my efficiency even moreso. Couldn't recommend them any higher!

  I am very happy with the product. At first it was tough because I didn't understand how to use it, but then I took the time to read documentation and watch the videos, the experience and thought process showed in the videos definitely had a huge impact on the progress I am making today, it placed a lot of sense into how I do things now.

  There's much more than that there. I know it takes time to learn a new product and workflow, and I always hope people take the time to watch the many videos and read the documentation before posting their first thoughts.
