Datapath Keyframes

by OffTheClock Studios in Addons

Steps to Use:

  1. Paste the full data path to the property you want to animate.
  2. Select the type of data the property is from a dropdown in the panel.
  3. Set the min value and max value (start and end values).
  4. Set the start and end frame for the initial animation.
  5. Click the toggle to enable repeat functionality.
  6. Set the repeat count and repeat offset.
  7. Select the repeat type (reset, pingpong, incremental).
  8. Click Create Keyframes.

Few identified input issues I found through my testing (will update/fix with feedback)

  • If using Reset, the repeat offset has to be greater than 0. The offset frame is where it is performing the reset for the animation.
  • If the data type expected is not what has been configured in the panel, the animation may not work or error.
  • Some data types work without being the correct data type. Example: Float used for angles. In this case, the float would be used for radians.
  • If using the Incremental repeat type, with multiplication and division, ideally the base value and the incremental value should not be zero.

If you run into any issues or properties that you would like this addon to support, please send me an email and I will get to it ASAP. Thanks.
