Cubic Recursive Subdivisions
Cubic Recursive Subdivisions is a Geometry Nodes Setup which allows you to have a 3-dimensional cubic subdivision with dissolving.
The Base Function for the Subunits and Recursion is its own Node Group.
Animated Examples with different Recursion Depth and Color Variations are included.
The Empty (or any Object with a Location) will partially dissolve the subdivided mesh depending on your settings.

Update:
Release of Version 002: You can now change the visible size of the Subunits. The last Group Node for Recursive Subdivisions has a separate Parameter for this option. The new Version (002) is compatible with Blender 3.2+ (old Version 3.0-3.3) and uses Node Editor Frames for the documentation of some Nodes.
