  simple and great , although it would be nice to randomize multiple objects at once .

  So simple yet effective. Normally I would just manually rename each layer in order for Blender to produce a new color for an object. But this is so quick, easy, and accessible from the panel menu, that I find it totally worth the low price and usable.
