Circularize
What is it?
Sometimes, when you are modeling, you aim for a nice round circle of vertices, but then when you look, they are all wonky. Maybe you started with a squarish shape for your extrude, or maybe some vertices just got nudged, and you didn't notice. Regardless of how it happened, you need a nice clean circle shape and that's not what you've got. You could make a new circle mesh and try joining it back in, but wouldn't it be easier if you could just make the vertices you have into a proper circle? That's where this add-on comes in!
UI
Radius Type
How to interpret the selection as a radius. Choose from Average, Minimum and Maximum.
Even Angles
By default, all the selected vertices will be projected out to the radius of the circle. If they are all clumped around one side then that's where they will stay. If you check this checkbox, then all the vertices are sorted in a clockwise direction and then distributed evenly around the circle. The circle will be exact, but the edges joining may look twisted.
Scale
Adjust the radius of the resultant circle.
Push
Move the circle up and down along the selected vertices plane normal.
Spin
Rotate the circle around the selected vertices plane normal.
Align Cursor
Align the cursor to the final plane normal. This allows you to continue to work on the circle after the operation.
How to use
Just select the vertices you'd like to be a nice round circle and click on the Circularize operator. Adjust the options to your liking. That's it.
Some examples
Start with a, clearly, square vertex selection. The vertices are clumped unevenly around the square.
Clicking the "Even Angles" checkbox. You can see the verts now lie in a perfect circle.
Alter the scale of the circle.
Push the circle up and down along the plane normal using "Push".
This is results of spinning the circle.
