You have your Viewport at a suitable position and want at this place a camera.

This Add-on (Camera Creator) can do it. You open the interface and simply press the Set Camera Button.

A small extra separate function is that you can make your active selected camera into your Active Scene Camera.

Add new Camera at your Viewport Position and Rotation:

Move Camera Back and Forth from Viewport (Camera selected by the Object Selector):

This function was integrated to change the position. When you have set the camera and want to vary the distance, for example, to cover more area.

The other possible use is to vary while in the active camera (Camera selected by the Object Selector):

This has some advantages compared to "Camera to View". It is more precise. You can use Undo and Redo. You do not accidentally move the camera sideways.

Update:

14.08.2022: New functions. Transfer Focal Length or Field of View. A new Camera Mover Function. The Selector Camera can be set automatically when using one of the main operations.

This Add-on is a separate Zip in the AVN Add-on, although the Camera Set is contained in both panels.
