Blender Ai Render - Stable Diffusion & Controlnet
Docs:
First Choose your file for installation:
The recommended install file is Blender_AI_Render.py. If you are on Windows and that file doesn't work (might be because an active antivirus software) you should use Blender_AI_Render_Win.py.
Find Blender-AI-Render:
After installing and enabling the add on you will be able to find it under Rendering->Blender AI Render. See this picture:
Use Blender-AI-Render: - Input your replicate.com token - Make sure that your render has enough contrast for the AI models to detect. Making the basic cube purple should do it. - Select a model (Canny is a good all-purpose one), here is a video explaining the different models: https://youtu.be/ci7NfTsifd0 (go to minute 5:00) - Enter a prompt for the AI model (for the basic cube you could try "A cube made of shiny gold") - You can tweak the parameters if you want, see here for more info on that: https://replicate.com/jagilley/controlnet - Press the "Render With Stable Diffusion" button What happens next? You should get 3 new windows. Then be a little bit patient. If there servers are "cold" it might take a couple of minutes the first time. The content of these windows will be: 1. Your original Blender render. 2. The edge detection image. 3. The AI generated image. If the edge detection is not ideal, tweak your Blender rendering settings in terms of contrast and/or use a different edge detection model. Happy rendering!
