Casa Batlló is a reflection of Gaudí's artistic fullness: it belongs to his naturalistic period (first decade of the 20th century). Inspired by the organic forms of nature, for which he put into practice a whole series of new structural solutions originated in the in-depth analyses carried out by Gaudí of regulated geometry. To this, the Catalan artist adds great creative freedom and an imaginative ornamental creation: starting from a certain baroque style, his works acquire great structural richness, of shapes and volumes devoid of rationalist rigidity or of any classical premise.
