Buying this add-on is a waste of money. The simple question is, does the add-in do what it was designed to do? I tested the BakeTool add-in in Blender 3.6.7 to burn a normal map for a simple cube with bevel .... and the result of burning a normal map is a normal with a solid color. It just doesn't work. For the same cube object with the same UV, Blender's built-in burning tool works fine. I bought the add-in on Dec. 27, 2022, and I noticed that the add-in either works poorly or doesn't work, and the time to update the add-in to a new Blender version is long. It doesn't make sense to base a workflow on such an unreliable solution.

Simply was not able to get it to run, stuck at 0% all the time. Very buggy. Shame, because it seems the devs are very responsive and the tool has a lot of good features but it just does not work.

It's a terrific add-on no doubt! One thing I miss a lot is an option to automatically select the 1st or 2nd slot of UV set, because working with a lot of objects is exaustive! Also want to actually see whats happening on the prompt feedback, and not just a strange formated time spent.

    Hi,
Looks good but I'm having an issue on Blender 3.5 on Mac: job never finishes. Always stuck at 99% for one map or 25% if I have

    Hi guys,
I will make it short and say what in y opinion are pros and cons:
    Pros:
    - Baking multiple objects or sets of objects at once!
    - Job management system that allows different settings for different objects or sets of objects. In my job this is crucial, since time matters. Baking some objects at 1k others at 4k saves time.
    - Auto UV option. Otherwise, if you have multiple UV's on an object you can select the baking set for each object.
    - Nice Cycles integration.
    Cons:
    - Minimalist status/log. Could you guys add some sort of progress? (At least the current number of passes rendered/baked for each object)
    - If this is not too much, is there a possibility to display a warning for overlapping UV's in some objects? I realize this is not so easy... so if this can't be done:
    - The option to stop and create eevee scene when the baker encounters such an object? In the current setup, cancel means cancel all of the progress, this is a bit frustrating when baking 50 objects and the error is somewhere at 90% :D

    PLEASE READ

I never give bad reviews, so trust in this one.

If you are looking for a baking tool, though this can bake it's likely not what you want. Get "Simply Bake" it does everything you'd want out of a baking tool.

BakeTool on the other hand runs into many errors,
    -randomly it just won't work.
-the different bake modes conflict with each other, so you can't just leave stuff set up in one mode and then use the other.
-it won't bake image texture layouts out of the box, you have to add a UV Map node to the vector of every image you use.
-it doesn't name your output the type of map they are such as Normal, Diffuse, Roughness
-and the High to low poly bake just was a hassle more than need be.

    BAD SUPPORT
The "Simply Bake" dev will get back to you even if it's just to complement him.
BakeTool on the other hand literally just sent me a link to their troubleshooting page that I already saw and then ghosted me. (and if they reply to this review saying they got back me its because I left this review)

And I understand it's not great to talk about other products on a product page, but these two tools aim to do the same thing, and if it were me I wish someone told me which one to buy first.

This is the second bake plugin that I have purchased on Blender Market. I should have purchased this one to start. This is an amazing addon.

This is a great addon, just 2 things: would be great have in the list of the object to bake something to deselect so if something didn't bake good you can select just one to replace the one bad... second thing.. if i check the AA for 2x or 4x the job never finish (even if the texture is saved in the hd).
thanks again for this great addon!

The interface of the add-on is supper simple. I wish there would be a bit more documentation or more guides of steps to take, but if you have any questions, the team behind the tool is super responsive and they will answer them quite fast.
The tool does what blender can do but it makes the tedious process super easy.
