    AHAM, this add-on for hair utility works like a magic. It is so convenient to transfer hair particles from one emitting mesh to another emitting mesh with a different topology! This is a must-have to any Blender character artist!

    In v1.1, when new hair particle systems were transferred to a head mesh, all old hair particle systems were completely deleted. So I contacted and suggested the author of this add-on to add another new feature, and he did what I asked for in the newly released v1.2, which provides new options so that it allows users to decide whether the previous hair (previous particle systems) should be deleted or not, when a new hair is transferred to the head mesh. This gives the user a much more freedom than before, because the user can create much more combination and variety of new hairstyles by combining suitable hair elements from the old and new hair particle systems together.

    Pay attention to the extra mesh:
    Although this add-on works in many cases, it can fail to transfer hair in some cases. As the author suggested using "an extra mesh". From my experience, this extra mesh does not have to be a head mesh. The mesh of a simple cube could work as well. For example, if I want to transfer hairs to only one mesh and keep the old hair particles system, then I should select three meshes - the mesh with the new hair style, the mesh with the old hair style, and the extra mesh, like the cube.

    Lastly, a WARNING to users:
    Due to user's miss-click or a mistake, it is possible that user forget to select multiple meshes when transferring. So, when the user selects only one mesh when transferring, the following strange things can happen:
    (1) Currently, the addon will not stop the user from doing so, nor will give any warning, and transferring procedure will not be terminated.
    (2) After transferring, a part of user interface in the Particle Edit mode will be changed or lost, all children hairs are lost, and the user can no longer add any more hair.
    (3) The speed of Cycles rendering in the viewport suddenly becomes very slow, as in some particular cases 20 times slower than before.
    (4) The user may be baffled by the strange result, and may spend or waste huge time to figure out the true cause to these strange things.

    Therefore, be careful to use this add-on, even if it is a great add-on.
